Choosing a fishing jacket fit for layering

Fit affects how comfortably you can move with a loaded jacket. A size label on its own is less useful than the garment measurements and your intended layers.

Measure across a similar jacket that fits you well and compare with the supplier’s current size chart. Check chest space, body length and movement with your arms extended. A heavy underlayer changes the fit required.

Ask for the actual chart and a sample if you are unsure. Do not use a generic size chart as a substitute for model-specific measurements.
